Iranian Powerlifter Solhipour Snatches Gold at Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian powerlifter Hamed Solhipour claimed a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games on Friday.
Solhipour won the gold at the Men's Up To 97.00 kg after lifting 234kg. He also bettered Asian record.
Khalaf Mohammed from the UAE won the silver with 224kg and the bronze medal went to Iraqi Thaer Al Ali who lifted 211kg.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
