Trump Mocked by Twitter Users over Anti-Iran Post (+Photos)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The US President Donald Tramp’s Game of Thrones-inspired anti-Iranian message sparked widespread reactions and was mocked by the twitter users worldwide.

On Friday, after the US administration officials announced that the second package of sanctions against Iran would resume on Nov. 5, the US president tweeted an image of himself with the message borrowed from the HBO fantasy show, based on George R.R. Martin’s unfinished book series.

The president’s critics quickly panned the tweet, and even HBO objected to the “trademark misuse,” though staying in-character.

Trump’s tweet has since sparked thousands of comments and tweets in form of protests and jocks that mocked the US president’s move:

Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams responded to US President Donald Trump’s anti-Iranian tweet who said ‘sanctions are coming’ with two simple words. “not today.”

An Iranian user mentioned in his post that the ‘winter is coming’ phrase refers to the Knight King who is the most hated character in the show implying that Trump is a hated character, too.

Another user posted a photo of Iranian missiles indicating that threatening Iran will have its own consequences.
