Iraqi Midfielder Safaa Hadi Linked with Esteghlal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football club Esteghlal is reportedly going to sign Iraqi defensive midfielder Safaa Hadi.
The 21-year-old midfielder currently plays in Iraqi football team Al-Zawraa.
Ali Karimi failed to meet expectations after facing injuries in Esteghlal and the Tehran-based football team is going to strengthen its midfield line in the January transfer window.
Iranian media reports suggest that two parties have reached an initial agreement.
Safaa Hadi is one the members of Iraq national football team and will represent his country in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
