Sepahan Moves Up Top of Iran Professional League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team moved up top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table on Saturday.
Sepahan drew 1-1 with rock-bottom Esteghlal Khuzestan in Ahvaz’s Ghadir Stadium.
Sasan Ansari put the visiting team into the lead in the 24th minute and Meysam Karimi equalized the match from the penalty spot in the 36th minute.
Sepahan sits in the first place with 31 points on goal difference over Padideh and Persepolis.
Esteghlal Khuzestan remained bottom of the table with six points.
The IPL will continue after the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
