Deadly Terrorist Attack Hits Basij Base in SE Iran

ZAHEDAN (Tasnim) – Terrorists on Saturday attacked a base of the Basij (mobilization) Force in the southeastern city of Nik Shahr in Sistan and Balouchestan Province, killing one person.

According to Tasnim dispatches, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force's Quds Base said that in the terrorist attack targeting the Basij Force’s base in Nik Shahar, an IRGC force was killed and five others were injured.

A terrorist group known as Jaish al-Adl, whose name translates as the Army of Justice, claimed responsibility for the deadly incident.

Later, the prosecutor general of Nik Shahr, Mohsen Golmohammadi said that two terrorists started shooting the personnel of the base, killing an IRGC force named Morteza Ali Ahmadi.

He added that in the terror incident, five other forces of the base were injured, two of whom are in critical conditions.

He went on to say that efforts are underway to arrest the culprits behind the attack.
