IPL: Tractor Sazi Defeats Esteghlal, Sephan Emerges Victorious
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tractor Sazi football team defeated Esteghlal 1-0 in a controversial match on Friday.
In the match held in Tabriz’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium, Ashkan Dejagah scored the only goal of the match in the 53rd minute with a powerful shot from the area.
Tractor Sazi remains in fourth place, five points adrift of IPL leader Sepahan.
Furthermore, Sepahan defeated Paykan 1-0 in Tehran’s Shahr-e Qods Stadium.
Siavash Yazdani scored the sole goal of the match just 10 minutes into the match.
It was Paykan’s eighth consecutive loss in the current season.
In Rasht, Sepidrood escaped defeat in the 90th minute against Machine Sazi.
With 12 minutes left, Ehsan Taidi scored for the visiting team but Meysam Tohidast leveled the match in the injury time.
Sepahan leads the IPL table with 38 points, followed by Persepolis (37 points) and Padideh (35 points).
