Yemeni Troops Inflict Losses on Saudi-Backed Militants in Various Fronts

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni troops and fighters from popular forces made gains in their retaliatory attacks against Saudi-backed forces in various fronts, inflicting major losses on them.

In the border region of Najran, the army waged an attack on sites of the mercenaries in the Rashah and al-Shurfa areas, killing and injuring dozens of them, Saba news agency reported on Sunday, citing unidentified military sources.

The army destroyed a military vehicle and a bulldozer belonging to the mercenaries during the raid.

The militants also suffered losses in Asir's Rabuah region after the army troopers targeted their camps there.

In Dheala province, several of the mercenaries were killed and wounded in the army's offensive on their sites in Damt district.

In the northern province of Hajjah, the Yemeni forces waged an artillery and rocket attack against Saudi military groups in al-Nar mountain in Haradh district.

The attacks against the Saudi-led forces came in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the coalition led by the Riyadh regime.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights announced in a statement on March 25 that the war had left 600,000 civilians dead and injured until then. The war and the accompanying blockade have also caused famine across Yemen.
