Iran Freestyle Wrestling Team Wins U-23 Senior Asian Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s freestyle wrestling team claimed the title of the U-23 Senior Asian Championships in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
The Iranian wrestlers claimed four gold medals, three silvers and two bronzes.
Ali Savadkouhi in 79kg, Ahmad Bazri in 86kg, Arashk Mohebbi in 92kg and Abbas Foroutan in 97kg claimed four gold medals.
Amir Mohammad Yazdani in 65kg, Farhad Nouri in 70kg and Navid Zangeneh in 74kg won three silver medals.
Mohammad Namjoo Motlagh and Mohammad Moradi seized two bronze medals in the 61kg and 125kg, respectively.
Iran won the title with 200 points, followed by Mongolia and Kazakhstan with 177 and 146 points, respectively.
