Iran’s Ali Shafiei Joins Stade Poitevin Volleyball Club
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian middle blocker Ali Shafiei has joined French volleyball club Stade Poitevin.
The 28-year-old player has joined the French club on a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
"He is very explosive player and has a good reading of the game and a good crossing in the block. His floating service is also devastating,” Stade Poitevin coach Brice Donat told lanouvellerepublique.fr.
Ali Shafiei is a member of Igor Kolakovic’s team who is going to represent Iran at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League Week 1.
Iran and Italy will open the second edition on May 31 in the Chinese city of Jiangmen, Guangdong province.
