Syrian Army Destroys Terrorist's Positions in Hama, Idlib

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Syrian army forces have struck the fortifications of al-Nusra Front militants and “al-Ezza Kataeb” terrorists on Thursday afternoon in Hama northern countryside, using artillery fire.

The Syrian troops managed to target the terrorist groups in the surroundings of Kfar Zeita and Latamneh, killing a number of their militants and injuring many others on the axis of Kfar Sijnah in Idleb southern countryside.

Syrian Arab News Agency reported from Hama that the army units responded to an attack by terrorists, using artillery fire against al-Nusra Front positions in the surrounding of Kfar Zeita and al-Ezza Kataeb in Latamneh in the northern Hama countryside.

Meanwhile, the army launched rocket strikes on the terrorists’ positions in the surroundings of Kfar Sijnah to the south of Idlib, inflicting heavy losses on them.

Under a deal reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in September, all militants should have withdrawn from the demilitarization zone by October 15.

However, al-Qaeda-linked Takfiri terrorists said they refuse to either leave the buffer zone or hand over their weapons.
