Iran’s Nematzadeh Takes Gold at World Cadet Taekwondo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mobina Nematzadeh from Iran claimed a gold medal at the World Cadet Taekwondo Championships at Universal Sports Palace in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent on Wednesday.
Nematzadeh defeated South Korea’s Kim Gahyeon 24-4 in the women’s under-51kg final.
Iran’s Mohammad Mahdi Taherkhani also won a bronze medal in the men’s over 65kg final.
Mexico’s Juan Carlos Martinez Ayala won the gold after he defeated Russia’s Ivan Skudrit 21-11.
The competition has brought 550 athletes, aged from 12 to 14, from 64 countries together.
