Iran Loses to Montenegro at Peak Invitational International
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national basketball team was defeated against Montenegro 89-77 at the Peak Invitational International in China on Friday.
Iran, who had defeated Nigeria 85-71 on Thursday, will face the loser of Poland and Nigeria match on Sunday in third-place playoff.
Iran has participated in the competition as part of preparation for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
The Peak Invitational International tournament is being held from August 22 to 27.
Iran has been pitted against Spain, Puerto Rico and Tunisia in Group C of the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
The competition will be held in China from August 31 to September 15.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams.
