Zagros Suffers Fourth Successive Loss at Asian Handball Club League C’ship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian handball team Zagros Eslamabad suffered its fourth successive loss at the 22nd Asian Men’s Club League Championship on Wednesday.

The Iranian team, who had already lost to Al-Kuwait, Al-Arabi and Al-Sharja, lost to South Korean team SK Hawks 35-22 in Group A.

Iran’s Foolad, who had also lost to Qatar's Al-Wakrah, Al-Wehdah of Saudi Arabia and Oman and defeated Al-Arabi of Kuwait, lost to Bar Bar of Bahrain 25-23 Group B.

The competition is being held in Samcheok, South Korea from November 7 to 17.

The Asian Handball Club League Championship is the official competition organized by Asian Handball Federation for the men's handball clubs of Asia, and takes place every year.

In addition to crowning the Asian champion, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the IHF Super Globe.
