Iran’s Olad Wins Bronze at World Para Athletics Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mahdi Olad from Iran claimed a bronze medal at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships on Wednesday.
He came third in the Men’s Discus Throw F11 with 41.18 meters.
The gold medal went to Brazilian athlete Alessandro da Silva who threw 46.10m.
Italian participant Oney Tapia won the silver with 46.10.
Olad had already won a gold medal in the Men's Shot Put F11.
More than 1,400 athletes from 120 nations are competing in the World Championships from 7 to 15 November.
