Russian Diplomats in Tripoli to Discuss Resumption of Embassy's Operations
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A task group of Russian diplomats arrived in Tripoli on Monday to discuss the resumption of operations of the Russian Embassy in Libya, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
"A task group of Russian diplomats came to Tripoli on December 8 to confer with the Libyan authorities on the resumption of operations of the Russian Embassy in Libya. The attention will be focused on the provision of the security of the Russian diplomatic mission and its personnel consistent with the commitments undertaken by the Libyan side earlier," says the ministry's report posted on Monday, Interfax reported.
"Once the necessary conditions are created, the expediency of a larger number of the Russian diplomatic personnel assigned on a mission to Libya and the full-scale resumption of its (the mission's) operations will be considered," the report said.
