Majid Jalali Steps Down as Gol Gohar Coach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Majid Jalali stepped down as head coach of Iranian football team Gol Gohar on Sunday.

The 63-year-old coach was named as head coach of Gol Gohar as Vinko Begovic’s replacement in October but failed to meet the expectations.

With six matches remaining, Faraz Kamalvand and Firooz Karimi are shortlisted for the job.

Gol Gohar lost to struggling Paykan 2-0 on Friday and moved down one place to 15th place in the table.
