TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Former Finance Minister Mohammad Shatah, a senior aide to former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, was killed along with four other people in a car bomb in Downtown Beirut Friday, local media reports said.

Fifteen people were wounded in the explosion which targeted Shatah’s motorcade as it drove in the capital’s central district.

The explosion coincided with a March 14 coalition meeting which was expected to take place at former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's residence.
