TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman offered sympathy to Ukraine over a plane crash that killed 26 people.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Sunday sympathized with the Ukrainian government, nation and families of victims of the tragic incident.

At least 26 people, most of them air cadets, have been killed in the military plane crash in Ukraine, officials say.

The aircraft, an Antonov-26, came down near the eastern city of Kharkiv on Friday. The plane was carrying 20 cadets and seven officers from Kharkiv Air Force University and was on a training flight.
