Tehran Derby Ends in Draw Again (+Photos)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 78th derby between Tehran’s popular soccer teams, Persepolis and Esteghlal, ended in a scoreless draw again.
The match was another weak display by Tehran’s giants in the presence of nearly 100,000 spectators at Azadi Stadium here in Tehran on Friday.
The popular clubs were unable to score a goal after four consecutive matches.
Esteghlal and Persepolis have played each other 78 times, with the Blues winning 24 games, the Reds recording 18 victories, and 36 matches ending in a draw.
