Gol Gohar Defeats Padideh in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Gol Gohar earned an away win against Padideh football team on Matchweek 9 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) and stayed top of table.
Amir Ghalenoei’s side beat Padideh 2-1 in Mashhad on Friday.
Abolfazl Akasheh scored for Padideh in the 60th minute but Saeid Sadeghi leveled the score five minutes later. Reza Shekari scored the winner for Gol Gohar in the 71st minute.
In Arak, Aluminum defeated Fajr Sepasi 1-0 courtesy of Mahmoud Ghaed Rahmati’s goal in the 80th minute.
Mes defeated Tractor 3-2 in Rafsanjan. Godwin Mensha opened the scoring for the host from the penalty spot in the 30th minute. Abolfazl Razzaghpour equalized the match in the 63rd minute. Majid Aliyari gave Mes the lead in the 65th minute and Faraz Emamali made the scoreboard 3-1 in the 85th minute. Mohammad Mehdi Ghanbari scored a consolation goal in the injury time.
Naft Masjed Soleyman was held to a 1-1 home draw against Zob Ahan. Karrar Jassim scored for Naft Masjed Soleyman and Mohammad Khodabandehloo equalized the match.
Foolad and Nassaji shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in Ahvaz. Ayanda Patosi was on target for Foolad and Hassan Najafi scored the equalizer for Nassaji.
Gol Gohar leads the IPL table with 19 points. Sepahan also has 19 points but sits second due to inferior goal difference.
