Tehran, Baku Satisfied with Growing Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Top diplomats from Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the expansion of relations between the two neighbors.

In a meeting in Islamabad on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Azeri counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov hailed the growing relations between Tehran and Baku.

In the gathering, held on the sidelines of an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the two ministers talked about the latest developments in the course of cooperation between the two neighbors.

The senior diplomats expressed satisfaction with a meeting that the presidents of the two countries held recently in Ashgabat.

Bayramov also invited Amirabdollahian to pay a visit to Baku.

Islamabad is hosting a ministerial meeting of the OIC members for talks on the crisis in Afghanistan.
