World Detests US Policies: Iran’s Foreign Ministry

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the world’s aversion to Washington’s bullying and hegemonic policies which became obvious after international reactions to the American assassination of top Iranian commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani.

“World people’s reactions to the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani showed all nations strongly despise the US bullying and hegemonic policies,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a post on its Twitter account on Sunday.

“If the US officials failed to see images of hatred on the streets of the countries worldwide, they are puppet of their own media empire,” it added.

General Soleimani, the former commander of the IRGC Quds Force, was assassinated along with his Iraqi trenchmate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Units, in a US drone strike ordered by ex-president Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Both commanders were highly popular because of the key role they played in eliminating the Daesh terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
