Iran Wins Three Golds at Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyle wrestlers Rahman Amouzad Khalili, Ali Savadkouhi and Mohammad Hossein Askari Mohammadian won three gold medals at the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships on Saturday.
Amouzad Khalili beat his Indian rival Bajrang Bajrang 3-1 in the final bout of 65kg.
Savadkouhi won Iran’s second goal, beating India’s Baliyan Gourav 9-9 in the 79kg weight class.
And Askari Mohammadian also claimed a gold after defeating Mongolian Batzul Ulziisaikhan 11-0 in the final match of the 97kg.
The 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships started in Ulaanbaatar on April 19 and will finish on April 24.
