President Affirms Support for Iranian Knowledge-Based Products

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reaffirmed his administration’s support for knowledge-based products developed by local experts.

After visiting an exhibition attended by knowledge-based companies on Tuesday, Raisi said, “The knowledge-based products developed by local researchers reduce costs, increase productivity, and create great added value, so we are determined to support and take advantage of them.”

The president noted that knowledge-based technologies can be utilized by the agricultural and industrial sectors.

He also said domestic researchers and manufacturers must have the opportunity to commercialize their knowledge-based products easily, stressing that Iranian organizations must avoid importing a product or service that has already been developed inside the country.

In remarks in March, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei designated the Iranian calendar year of 1401 as the year of “Production: Knowledge-Based and Job-Creating.”

“We must encourage knowledge-based production–one that is reliant on new scientific advances–and a production that generates employment,” the Leader said.
