Karaj to Host Iran Asian Cup Qualifier against Kuwait
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will host Kuwait in Karaj, located west of Tehran, in the last qualifier of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, the vice-president of Iran Football Federation, Mohammad-Hadi Ayatollahi, said.
“Karaj properly hosted the matches against Indonesia and Mozambique over the past two years and Iran Football Federation decided to award the hosting of Iran – Kuwait match to the city,” Ayatollahi said.
Iran has already qualified for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup to be held in Australia from January 9 to 31.
Iran leads top of Group B with 13 points, followed by Kuwait with nine points.
Lebanon is third with five points and Thailand remained at the end of the table without a single point.
