Three Palestinians Killed in Israeli West Bank Raid

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three Palestinians were killed and 10 others injured on Wednesday during an Israeli raid on the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said.

Two of the injured were in critical condition, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health in a press statement.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces, backed by armored vehicles, stormed the city and its refugee camp amid the intensive fire of live ammunition and tear gas canisters in all directions.

The Israeli forces surrounded the home of Fathi Hazem, father of Raed Hazem, who was killed after he carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv in April, according to the eyewitnesses.

Fierce clashes broke out in the city between Israeli forces and Palestinian people.

An Israeli army spokesman claimed that an Israeli army force was carrying out regular military activity in the city of Jenin to demolish the house of Hazem.

Over the past few months, the West Bank has witnessed growing tension between the Israeli regime army and the Palestinians.

More than 90 Palestinians have been killed since early January by Israeli forces, including children and women, according to official Palestinian statistics.

Israel carried out a campaign of arrests focused on the cities of Nablus and Jenin in the northern West Bank.
