US Scenarios for Libya, Syria Got Nowhere in Iran: Raisi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Attributing the new hostile plots against Iran to the country’s resolve to get stronger, President Ebrahim Raisi said the conspiracies that the Americans had already committed against Syria and Libya have proved futile in Iran.

In a Saturday meeting with a group of students in Tehran, Raisi pointed to the recent riots in Iran, saying security prevails in all cities across the country.

“Riots and the attempts to create chaos in the country are different from protests. The riots and those creating insecurity should be definitely countered,” the president added.

He also noted that the US and other enemies were seeking to implement the same model of plot in Iran that they had hatched against Libya and Syria, but their conspiracy to foment insecurity in the country ended in failure.

The president further stressed the need for the students to familiarize themselves with the progress Iran has made under the pressures and sanctions, saying Iran’s determination to get stronger has caused the enemy to look for new plots.

In remarks on November 2, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei pointed to the obvious role of the enemies in the riots that have been taking place in the country during the past few weeks, saying, “The events that took place these past few weeks were not merely street riots. They were detailed plots. The enemy initiated hybrid warfare. The enemy, namely the United States, the Zionist regime, some insidious and malicious European powers, and some groups, came to the scene with all of their capabilities.”
