Commander Underscores Iran's Constant Watch on Regional, Trans-Regional Moves

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior Iranian military commander underlined that the country keeps a close watch on the enemies’ hostile moves inside and outside the region, stressing that the Iranian Armed Forces are fully prepared to show crushing response to possible threats.

“The entire regional and trans-regional moves are being monitored round the clock,” Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said, addressing different units of the Iranian army on Tuesday morning.

He also made it clear that the country’s armed forces remain vigilant at all times and will respond to any threat proportional to its capabilities.

The commander further ensured that the Iranian military forces will retaliate against any possible threat by producing a “much heavier and more crushing” response.

Iran will never invade any country, Pourdastan reiterated, but at the same time stressed that any act of invasion against the country will provoke such strong response by the Iranian armed forces that would make the enemies regretful.

In relevant comments on April 10, Iranian Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi underlined that the country’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any possible threat against the Islamic Republic with firm and strong reaction.

“If we face a threat, we respond to it strongly and firmly,” Major General Salehi said at the time, noting that the Armed Forces’ military capabilities and high degree of preparedness have enabled them to respond quickly in the face of possible threats.
