Iran’s VP Felicitates Kyrgyzstan on National Day

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri on Sunday congratulated the nation and government of Kyrgyzstan on the Central Asian country’s national day.

In his message to Kyrgyzstani Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev, Jahangiri congratulated the country’s government and nation on the occasion.

He expressed the hope that relations between the two countries would witness further expansion in all fields of mutual interest.

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Saturday, congratulated the nation and government of Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

Rouhani also pointed to the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Bishkek, expressing the hope that the two countries' cooperation in all spheres would strengthen more than ever.

The Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country in the Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It obtained independence from the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991.
