President Rouhani Felicitates Swiss Counterpart on New Post
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday congratulated his Swiss counterpart Simonetta Sommaruga on starting her career as new President of the European country.
In a message to Sommaruga, Rouhani expressed the hope that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Switzerland would be expanded in all areas.
He also hoped for stronger peace and security on the international scene.
Rouhani further wished health and success for government and nation of Switzerland.
Switzerland’s parliament on December elected Simonetta Sommaruga as the Alpine country’s president for 2015, replacing the head of the foreign affairs department whose term was expired.
