Iran Loses to Bosnia in World Handball Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian team lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 24th Men's Handball World Championship on Friday.

Team Melli, who is participating in the world championship for the first time, was defeated against Bosnia and Herzegovina 30-25 at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall.

Twenty-four teams are participating in the competition which takes place between January 15 and February 1 in Qatar.

France, Denmark and Spain are among the favorites.

Iran has recently played three friendly matches with the Italian handball team in Chieti, Italy, winning twice and one match ended in a draw.

Iran has been drawn in Group B along with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Austria and Tunisia.
