AFC Inspectors Plan to Visit Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A two-people delegation from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is going to come to Iran to examine the country's facilities for hosting 2019 AFC Asian Cup, Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, the general secretary of Iran Football Federation (IFF), said.
According to Nabi, the inspectors will travel to Iran on February 2.
“The AFC inspectors will inspect Azadi and Takhti Stadiums’ facilities in their one-day stay. The final result will be announced until March” Nabi said.
Iran will be competing against bids from the UAE, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
Iran has previously hosted the editions in 1968 and 1976.
