TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is planned to meet his counterparts from Russia and the Netherlands in the Swiss city of Geneva on Monday.

The meetings with Russia’s Sergei Lavrov and Holland’s Bert Koenders will take place during the top Iranian diplomat’s visit to Switzerland to hold a new round of talks on Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program.

Moreover, Zarif will meet the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, and will also address the high-level segment of the 28th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Back on Friday, the European Union Spokeswoman Catherine Ray said Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) will hold a fresh round of nuclear talks in Switzerland’s Montreux on March 5.

The US State Department also announced on Saturday that Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and the US negotiating team will travel on March 2 to Montreux, where they will join with Secretary of State John Kerry to meet with Iranian officials.

These bilateral consultations will reportedly include Deputy Secretary General for the EU's External Action Service Helga Schmid and her team as well.

At the request of Kerry, Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz will also travel to Montreux to join in the negotiations, the US said.
