Bibi’s Reelection Signifies Israel’s Racist Nature: Palestinian Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior Palestinian official said Benjamin Netanyahu's reelection as Israeli prime minister is a testimony to the Zionist regime's racist nature and the continuation of its hostile policies in the region.

"This (Netanyahu's reelection) demonstrates that the Zionist regime is racist because (it means that ) a hardline and racist person like Netanyahu will preside over Tel Aviv’s next cabinet,” Mustafa Barghouti, the secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative Party told the Tasnim News Agency.

He also noted that Netanyahu's election victory shows a lack of the necessary grounds for the resumption of peace talks between Palestine and Israel.

“Therefore,… the people of Palestine should continue resistane against the Zionist regime and support the Islamic resistance groups,” Barghouti underlined.

He further said that Israel will not end its hostile policies towards the regional countries, stressing that Netanyahu will lay even more emphasis on those policies.

Netanyahu had vowed on Monday that he would not allow the creation of a Palestinian state if he wins another term in office.

He clinched a victory in Tuesday’s Israeli election after his rightwing Likud party grabbed 30 of the 120 seats in the Knesset, Israel's parliament.
