Match against Iran Is Important, Arturo Vidal Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal said that the friendly matches against Iran and Brazil are important for his national team.
Jorge Sampaoli's men have been scheduled to face Iran on Thursday in St. Polten. Chile will play Brazil three days later in London’s Emirates Stadium.
In its most recent game, Chile came from behind twice to beat the United States 3-2 in January, and Vidal wants to see some improvement against Iran in Austria.
"It's an important game for us, we have these two games before the Copa America and we must take advantage," he said, according to Chilean newspaper La Nacion.
Chile is preparing for the 2015 Copa America which will be held from June 11-July 4.
Chile has been pitted against Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia in Group A.
