Iran Loses to Japan in AFC Beach Soccer Championship Semis
TEHRAN(Tasnim)- Iran was defeated against Japan 5-4 in the semifinal round of 2015 AFC Beach Soccer Championship in Doha, Qatar Friday night.
In another semifinals, Oman defeated Lebanon 5-4 and advanced to the final match.
Japan, who has won the AFC Beach Soccer Championship twice before, will play Oman on Saturday in the final match while Iran and Lebanon will square off in the match for third place.
The winner, runner-up, and third place finisher at the AFC Beach Soccer Championship will represent Asia at the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Espinho, Portugal from July 9 to 19.
