Indonesian Parliamentary Delegation Due in Iran Soon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A delegation of Indonesian parliamentarians will pay an official visit to Tehran next weekend.

They will arrive in the Iranian capital on Sunday, December 13.

During their four-day trip, the Southeast Asian country’s lawmakers are scheduled to hold meetings with Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seif, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi, Oil Minister Bijan Namadar Zanganeh, Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and a number of parliament members.

Iran’s parliament has in recent months stepped up efforts to strengthen ties with parliaments of other countries following the conclusion of nuclear talks between Tehran and six world powers.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) finalized the nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), on July 14.
