Tehran, Moscow Sign MoU to Boost Industrial Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian and Russian trade officials signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of industry.

During a meeting held in Tehran on Monday, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and visiting Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov inked the agreement on further cooperation in manufacturing industry, Tass reported.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of a three day exhibition, which opened in the Iranian capital on Monday. The expo mainly demonstrates the industrial potential of Russia in the areas that may be of interest to Iranian companies, industrialists and producers.

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Iran in November 2015 and held talks with President Hassan Rouhani.

Following the talks, the two sides chose 35 priority joint projects and agreed to expand industrial cooperation.
