2 Dead after Shooting in Sweden's Malmo City, Police Rule Out Terrorism

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Swedish police said Tuesday that a shooting in the southern city of Malmo has resulted in the death of two people who sustained critical injuries during the incident.

The drive-by shooting occurred Monday night and all the five injured during the incident were sent to hospital, with one of them having succumbed to his wounds soon afterwards, Xinhua news agency reported.

"Another injured person, a 29-year-old man, died in hospital ... The incident is classified as a murder," the police said in a statement.

Police have secured the site as a suspected crime scene and have blocked the area. Further investigation is ongoing.
