Syrian Forces Repulse Major Militant Attack in Hama

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syria’s army and its allies repelled a major attack by Takfiri militants in the northwestern province of Hama, inflicting major losses on them.

Army units on Saturday thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists from Hasraya village towards military posts in the village of Tal al-Melh in the countryside of Meharda in Hama province, killing many of the terrorists and injuring others, SANA reported.

The forces clashed with a terrorist group affiliated to the so-called “al-Ezza Battalions” that attempted to infiltrate and target military posts in the areas of Zallin and al-Zallaqiat in the northern countryside of Hama.

The report added that many of the terrorists were killed and injured during the counterattack.
