World Athletics Championships: Taftian Secures Spot in 100m Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hassan Taftian of Iran secured his spot in the semi-finals of the 2023 World Athletics Championships men's 100 meters on Saturday.
He finished fifth with 10.17 seconds in the prestigious event underway in Budapest, Hungary.
The final will be held on Sunday.
Farzaneh Fasihi will also represent Iran in the women’s 100m.
More than 2,100 athletes from around 200 teams compete in the Hungarian capital between August 19 to 27.
