Sepahan Hits New Heights in ACL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan’s 9-0 win over Uzbekistan’s AGMK set a new record for the biggest win recorded in the West Zone.
It also matches the 9-0 wins posted previously by FC Tokyo, Changchun Yatai and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, although Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and Gamba Osaka’s double digit wins in 2004 and 2006 remain in front.
Sepahan defeated AGMK 9-0 in Group C of the 2023-24 AFC Cahmpions League (ACL).
The win moves Sepahan onto seven points from its four games in the Group so far, two behind leader Al Ittihad from Saudi Arabia and level with Air Force Club of Iraq with only two rounds remaining.
