Iran 4 – 0 Hong Kong: 2026 World Cup Qualifier
TEHRAN (Tasnim)– Iran football team defeated Hong Kong 4-0 on Thursday in the 2026 World Cup qualifier at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Sardar Azmoun was on target twice in the first half. The AS Roma striker scored two goals in the 13th and 15th minutes.
Mehdi Taremi made the scoreboard 3-0 with three minutes remaining and Ramin Rezaeian scored the fourth goal in the injury time.
Team Melli, headed by Amir Ghalenoi, will travel to Tashkent to face Uzbekistan on Tuesday while Hong Kong will host Turkmenistan on the same day.
