Tehran, Baghdad Keen to Promote Medical Training Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Iraq weighed plans to expand and develop relations in the field of medical sciences training.

Iran’s Health Minister Bahram Einollahi, in a meeting with the cultural attaché of the Iraqi embassy in Tehran, said cooperation between the two countries in the field of medical sciences training should go beyond the borders.

The interaction in the medical training sector should increase within the framework of the axis of resistance and among Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, Einollahi added.

Iran attaches great importance to its relations with the brotherly government and people of Iraq, he said, adding that cooperation with the Iraqi people in the medical sector is one of the priorities of Iran’s Ministry of Health.

Iran has gained salient achievements and made progress in the field of medical sciences, the minister noted, adding that many of the prestigious international institutions have evaluated the training procedures of medical sciences in Iran at the highest level.

The cultural attaché of the Iraqi embassy, for his part, called for the expansion of cooperation with Iran in the field of medical sciences training, IRNA reported.
