Alireza Faghani to Take Charge of Iraq v Jordan Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Asian Football Confederation confirmed Alireza Faghani as the referee of the Iraq and Jordan match in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The important match in the knockout stage will be held on Monday at the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The highly experienced Iranian officiated the opening match between Qatar and Lebanon at the Lusail Stadium, where the host won the match 3-0.
Faghani will be taking charge of his 14th Asian Cup match in his fourth appearance at the event, having officiated as fourth official for four matches on his debut in 2011, and refereed five matches in 2015 – including the Final between Korea Republic and eventual winner Australia – and two in the 2019 edition.
