TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi promised Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei that his administration will do its utmost to achieve the new Persian year’s goal, namely “surge in production through people’s participation”.

The Iranian president on Wednesday held separate telephone conversations with Ayatollah Khamenei and a number of senior clerics, such as Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani and Ayatollah Sobhani, to congratulate them on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and the new Iranian year.

Congratulating the Leader on the blessed beginning of Ramadan and the beginning of the new year, Raisi said, “The government will do its best to fulfill the wishes of the Leader, especially the slogan of the year.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, in turn, prayed for the success of the president and the government in the conversation.

In the other phone calls with the senior clerics, Raisi called for their spiritual attention and prayer for the success of the government in solving the country's problems, the president’s official website reported.

Ayatollah Khamenei has chosen the slogan “surge in production through people’s participation” for the new Iranian year that began on Wednesday, stressing the need for the people to get involved in production in a tangible manner.
