Iran Earns Second Win at 2019 CAFA U-19 Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Turkmenistan in the 2019 CAFA U-19 Championship Monday night.
Sirous Pourmousavi’s team defeated its rival 4-0 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Arya Barzegar, Hossein Zavvari, Hossein Bijani and Reza Mousavian scored for Iran.
Iran had started the campaign with a 2-0 win over Uzbekistan.
The Central Asian tournament is being used as preparations for November’s AFC U-19 Championship 2020 Qualifiers, in which all five teams will feature.
The CAFA U-19 Championship will be decided on a round-robin basis, with the final Matchday to be held next Thursday.
