Foolad Earns Vital Win over Aluminum: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad football team earned a vital win over Aluminum in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
In the match, held in Ahvaz’s Foolad Arena, Sasan Ansari scored the winner for the host just one minute into the second half.
Foolad climbed four places to 11th in the 16-team table.
Elsewhere, Gol Gohar beat Mes Rafsanjan in Sirjan, Paykan was held to a 1-1 draw by Shams Azar and Malavan drew 1-1 with rock-bottom Esteghlal Khuzestan.
IPL leader Esteghlal will play Tractor on Saturday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, while Sanat Naft will host Havadar in Abadan.
