Iranian, Malaysian Speakers to Meet in Tehran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Speaker of Iran’s Parliament Ali Larijani and his Malaysian counterpart are due to hold a meeting in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Tuesday.

Malaysian Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia will meet with Larijani at Iranian parliament's building in Tehran tomorrow.

The two sides are scheduled to confer on issues of mutual interests, parliamentary, economic, and political subjects in particular.

Earlier in August, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had attached great significance to the role of Iran and Malaysia in the Muslim world, expressing the hope that bilateral relations between the two countries would strengthen in the future.

In a separate message sent to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, the Iranian president described the new atmosphere of bilateral ties as positive, and expressed optimism that the new capacities would lead to the promotion of relations in various spheres.
