Iran Defeats South Africa in FINA World Junior Water Polo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated South Africa 15-11 in its last match in the 18th FINA World Men’s Junior Water Polo Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan on Friday.
Iran lost to Serbia, Australia, Mexico, and China in the competition and just beat South Africa to finish 17th out of 18 teams.
At the previous edition of this event in 2013, the three squads on the podium were: Italy (gold), Croatia (silver) and Serbia (bronze).
Iran came 17th in 2013.
